Manual Therapy

By definition, “manual” refers to the hands, especially work done by the hands. Manual therapy is the use of hands-on techniques to evaluate, treat, and improve the mobility of joints and soft tissue. The therapist uses his hands or specialized tools to put pressure on soft tissues and to mobilize/manipulate joints.  The goal is to reduce pain associated with muscle spasm, muscle tension and poor joint mobility.

Categories of Manual Therapy
